SUP Witches Paddle Festival
Bring your SUP’s, kayaks, rafts or canoes, your brooms … er, paddles, and costumes and join SUP Wyoming for a family friendly afternoon of paddling at Lake DeSmet day use beach area (Mikesell-Potts Recreation Area).
Find out who is the fastest witch in the west! The winner gets some SUP Wyoming swag and mad bragging rights.
Everybody getting on the water needs to have their own SUP/kayak/raft/canoe, paddle, life jacket and costume. SUP Wyoming will have a limited inventory of paddle boards to use for free with a signed waiver (First come, first serve but sharing is encouraged).
Come out for fun and cackles on October 5 (weather permitting) at 3 p.m. at the Lake Desmet Beach Day Use Area.
Please note: Air and water temperatures can be cold in October. Wearing a wetsuit under your costume and/or bringing a change of clothes just in case is highly recommended. Only bring your kids and pets on the water if they also have appropriate gear. We don’t want anyone getting cold as a witch’s … well, you know.
If you’re wondering what’s the point, it’s simple: The goal is to just get out, be silly and have some fun!
WHEN: 3 p.m. Saturday, October 5
WHERE: MIkesell-Potts Recreation Area at Lake DeSmet, Buffalo WY 82832
