PrairieSiren began in the winter of 2020 in a small farmhouse kitchen in Westby, Montana, when founder KayMarie started making her own skincare to calm her sensitive skin after years of irritation from store-bought products. While working as a farmhand, she spent her free time learning how to render tallow and create simple, gentle formulas that actually worked. What started as a personal project slowly grew into a small business.

After years of struggling with sensitive skin and never finding lasting relief from plant-based products, KayMarie discovered that tallow made all the difference. Tallow closely matches the natural oils that skin produces, so it’s easily absorbed and deeply nourishing. Because it’s bio-identical to human fats, the skin recognizes it and responds with balance rather than irritation. Unlike many plant oils that lose effectiveness over time, tallow continues to support and strengthen the skin with consistent use.

PrairieSiren works directly with trusted suppliers who raise 100 percent grass-fed, pasture-raised animals on healthy soil, free from pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and heavy metals.

The retail shop in Buffalo opened on November 1, 2025. It offers tallow soaps, chapstick, whips and other skin care products as well as candles, western apparel, and much more.
