Fetterman Fight Youth Horse Ride
As part of the Fetterman Fight anniversary commemoration, Youth Horse Riders from the Pine Ridge, Northern Cheyenne, and Wind River Reservations will be riding from Sheridan to the battlefield site.
Riders will pass through Sheridan Main Street around 7:30 a.m. and are expected to arrive at the battlefield site in the afternoon, around 3 p.m. Fort Phil Kearny/Bozeman Trail Association are sponsoring presentations at 12:30 p.m. at Kearney Hall and 2 p.m. at the Fetterman Battlefield Historic Site to mark the 159th anniversary of the battle.
A potluck meal with the Youth Horse Riders will take place following the ceremony, around 4 p.m. at Kearney Community Hall. Bring your appetite and a side dish to share.
