Geology and Dinosaurs of Johnson County
Thomas Hebert, director of the Natural History Museum of Wyoming in Sheridan, will share his experiences digging for his favorite finds and digging opportunities in Johnson and Sheridan counties.
Hebert has been digging dinosaurs for more than 15 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in geology, chemistry, and communications, and his working on his master’s in museum studies. He brings years of experience and education to his role at the museum. His passion for paleontology and storytelling beings life to these extinct animals of Wyoming.
His presentation will transport the audience back in time from 150 million years ago to the end of the dinosaurs with the Chixulub meteor. Hebert will also talk about the future of the museum.
