50 Years as a Powder River Vet
Hoofprints of the Past Museum in Kaycee will present its annual historical presentation at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, at Harold Jarrard Park with Dwayne Christensen.
Christensen has spent most of his life in the Kaycee area, with nearly 50 years of that time as a veterinarian and owner of Powder River Vet Clinic. He started operating out of a small trailer and traveling the area in his truck, eventually building a clinic that exists today.
Dwayne is a great storyteller and has many stories about the interesting people and animals he dealt with over the years.
He will also share his family history of the Gilbert and Christensen families. His grandparents homesteaded at Nine Mile in 1915.
WHEN: 1 p.m. Sunday, March 15
WHERE: Harold Jarrard Park, 603 Nolan Ave., Kaycee WY 82639
