Longmire Days (Day 2)

The popular celebration of the neo-Western Longmire mystery series takes place from Thursday, July 16, to Sunday, July 19, 2026.

The second day of the event includes the following activities:

  • 2026 Longmire Days 5k and Fun Run/Walk (5k, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, and Virtual 5k), starting 8:30 a.m. in Prosinksi Park. Register on the event website
  • Early History of Powder River Country, with Nancy Tabb, 11 a.m. to noon at the Johnson County Library
  • Nancy Tabb, local historian, will talk about 19th century events in what is now Johnson County.
    Registration required, admission included with Longmire Access ticket.
  • Autograph Session, sessions at 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. at Bozeman Trail Steakhouse & Conference Center
  • This is one of the most sought-after tickets during the Longmire Days event. Please limit items to be signed by each signer to two per ticket holder.
    $45 (includes fees); please attend only one session.
  • Raptor Shows at Washington Park, shows at noon and 1 p.m.
  • Be mesmerized by the fascinating feathered friends from the Black Hills Raptors.
    Free event, no ticket required.
  • When Johnson County Had A Rustling Problem, 1:30 p.m. at Johnson County Library
  • Local historian Nancy Tabb shares stories about the cattle rustling that contributed to the Johnson County War.
    Registration required, admission included with Longmire Access ticket.
  • The Write Word, discussion with Kirk Ellis & Craig Johnson
  • 3 p.m. at the Bozeman Trail Steakhouse & Conference Center
    Ticket required: $7.50
  • A Discussion of Powwow Highway with A. Martinez, 3 p.m. at Buffalo Theater
  • Join A. Martinez for a discussion of this extraordinary and highly entertaining film. Powwow Highway tells the story of two very different Native Americans, Phibert Bono, a spiritual advisor, and Buddy Red Bow, a political activist, who embark on a road trip from Lame Deer, Montana, to Santa Fe, New Mexico. The film, based on the novel by David Seals, explores themes of identity, cultural pride, and the challenges faced by Native Americans in modern society. Viewing party to follow.

  • Longmire Fan Talent Show Performance, with Louanne Stephens, 5-6 p.m. at The Playhouse
  • Judged by Longmire cast members.
    Free event, no ticket required, limited to 250 attendees.
  • Live Auction, 7 p.m. at Occidental Hotel & Saloon garden
    Free event, no ticket required.
  • An Evening of Music with John Bishop & Friends, 9 p.m. (or 30 minutes after the auction) at The Playhouse
    Ticket required: $25, includes fees.

The Longmire Foundation will announce more information about attending actors, the activities of the weekend, tickets, and potential volunteer opportunities once those details are finalized.
