48th annual Klondike Rush

Run Wyoming’s oldest 10-kilometer race on Saturday, August 1.

The course takes participants into the foothills southwest of Buffalo with some good climbs and great scenery. Enjoy the views of the Bighorn Mountains and the sounds of Clear Creek.

Entry fees are $25 for youth under 18 and $35 for those 18 and older.

Registration for the Volks (walk) begins at 6 a.m. with the event starting at 6:30 a.m.

Registration and packet pick-up for the running events begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 7:15 a.m. Both runs begin at 7:30 a.m.

In 1978, the inaugural Klondike Rush set out on the now historic 10K course. In the years since, the Klondike Rush has grown to include the 5K course and the Klondike Volks.

Back for its eighth annual “running,” the Klondike Volks is an event for those that are looking for less rush and more stroll, giving them to chance to experience the historic 10K course at their own pace.

The Klondike Rush is the oldest running 10K event in Wyoming and surrounding states.

The popularity of this event continued to grow over the years and led to the addition of the 5k course. The 5k course is fun and fast for those interested in time, but is also very family- and walker-friendly. The Klondike Rush is fun for the whole family!
