Potters Depot

Located in a converted 1920s train depot, the Potters’ Depot is an art gallery and working pottery studio that brings a little SoHo to Buffalo. In creating this unique space, potter and owner Bonnie Schlesselman maintained the personality and ambience of the old depot by retaining its wood floors, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and floor-to-ceiling cargo doors. This historic site is simply too cool to miss. The gallery offers hand-made pottery created by local potters.

Come in, enjoy the shop, check out our gallery and see if you can catch a potter at work. The Potters’ Depot has a fantastic selection of hand-made pottery created in the studio, including nesting bowl sets, honey pots, berry bowls, pitchers, dinnerware, pie plates and more. With alchemy and years of experience, Bonnie mixes her own glazes and colored slips, through which she creates a kaleidoscope of exciting colors and textures. Each hand-crafted piece is not only suitable for display, but is also food-, dishwasher- and microwave-safe. The depot is located on the corner of Lobban Avenue and Benteen Street – just one block east of Buffalo’s historic Main Street.

Experience the Potters’ Depot, where art meets history.
