The shop includes a large supply of fishing gear, firearms and accessories, camping equipment, knives, bicycles, climbing gear, sporting goods; skis and snowboards; clothing, shoes and outerwear for men, women and children; and accessories such as sunglasses, work gloves, hats, waders, and backpacks. Rentals include skis and horseshoes in the winter, bikes, camping equipment and fishing equipment in the summer.
Dave and Sandy Todd purchased The Sports Lure in 1968. At the time, the store only sold fishing tackle, ammunition, and Converse All-Star Athletic Shoes. More than five decades later, the store is a sporting goods and outdoor headquarters. It is still owned and operated by three generations of the Todd family.
