Big Horn Basque Celebration

The Big Horn Basque Club’s annual celebration is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Buffalo, Wyoming.

Festivities will begin at 3 p.m. in the arena with sheep hooking, Calcutta, and games. These events are open to the public, and there will be prizes for first through third place.

Other games to enjoy will include Mus, weight carrying, and corn hole.

At 5 p.m., there will be Mass with a Basque priest.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with a cash bar available from the Invasion Bar.

The Jean Flesher Band will play for the dance.

Dinner is free to current members; and membership is $45 for families and $30 for individuals. Membership is available at 509 Fort Street or from any Big Horn Basque Club members.
