Invaders Tattoo Expo
SantaMaria Tattoo is hosting the first Invaders Tattoo Expo at Bomber Mountain Civic Center from April 17 to April 19.
The event will take place 10 a.m. to midnight on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18. The hours for Sunday, April 19, will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tattoo artists and body piercers will be coming from all over the United States to show case their styles. Attendees can find the artist they like and book their tattoos/piercings to be completed over the weekend.
This is a first-time event for Johnson County. This family-friendly event will have local vendors for everything from food to hand-made treasures, drinks and bar service, music, and well-known tattoo artists from around the country. There also will be a Western-style pinup contest.
The event emcee will be Sullen’s Big Hoon, an actor and event host who has appeared on the television shows Mayans and Euphoria. Josh Paul will be the featured artist. Judy Parker, one of the first notable female tattoo artists, and Ink Master contestant Kevin Johnson also will be among the 20 tattoo artists expected to attend with some coming from Arizona, New Jersey, Oregon, Missouri, Idaho, and more.
Sunset Cirque will do a live fire performance on Saturday.
There will be a temporary tattoo booth for kids.
Friday’s admission is by donation for Buffalo Christian Academy. Saturday and Sunday are $5 admission. There is a $10 entry fee for the pin-up contest.
