Pole Creek Challenge
The Powder Pass Nordic Club’s signature event and fundraiser, the Pole Creek Challenge, is an annual 5- and 10-kilometer recreational race for cross country skiers. Last year, a 20-kilometer race was added to the event and it is planned again for this year.
The 2025 Pole Creek Challenge is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, with a 9 a.m. start on the 20K and 10 a.m. start for the other distances. Participants should arrive 30 minutes before the event to check in and get their bibs.
Registration is now available through RunSignUp.com. For a paper form, email using the link below to request one. There is no on-site registration for the event. Online registration ends February 19, and there is discounted pricing before February 12.
If speed isn’t your thing, you can compete in the Total Distance Challenge. Ski or snowshoe the greatest total distance in the month of February and win a special award. Track yourself using a GPS or smartphone app such as Map My Run, Garmin, Strava, etc., and email your results to powderpassnordic@gmail.com, or track them online using the RunSignUp site.
