The Buffalo Calendar: Winter Counts

Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site will host a presentation on The Buffalo Calendar: Winter Counts, by Abigail, an Eastern Dakota student ranger. The program is the first in the fort’s series of Native American Student Interpretive Ranger talks.

The presentation is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, at the fort’s Interpretive Center. There is no fee.

The program will offer guests the chance to learn about symbolic record-keeping for Plains tribes.
