Worlds of Music: Eloise & Company
Worlds of Music presents Eloise & Company on Saturday, March 8, at The Playhouse in downtown Buffalo.
Eloise & Company features the combined creative force of three of the country’s most sought-after traditional musicians — fiddler Becky Tracy, accordionist Rachel Bell, and Rachel Aucoin on piano.
The trio was set to work on recording an album, “Avec Elodie,” this year. They first performed together in 2017 and reunited after a five-year period of not being able to work together.
Their music includes soaring jigs, energetic Celtic reels, gritty French bal folk groove tunes, lively Quebecois tunes, and soulful waltzes.
The group will perform at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, March 7, at the Buffalo Senior Center.
The will lead a workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at The Playhouse. The workshop is open to players of any instrument.
The concluding concert and dance is scheduled for 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, at The Playhouse.
All events are free and open to the public.
