Visually Impaired Tour Of Fort Phil Kearny

Experience Fort Phil Kearny like never before. Take a sensory tour of the state historic site led by staff member Aubree, who herself is legally blind and has a service dog.

This will be an in-depth audio tour of the grounds, with a hands-on opportunity to step back in time and experience daily fort life through touch, taste, smell, and sound.

The tour will begin in the Interpretive Center before continuing outside on both paved and unpaved paths that are wheelchair accessible. Regular site admission applies, but there is no extra charge for this tour. Please bring water and dress accordingly for the weather. Service dogs are welcome, modern restrooms are located in the Interpretive Center, and advanced registration is required (registration link available soon through the Facebook events page).

WHEN: 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20

WHERE: Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site, 528 Wagon Box Road, Banner WY 82832
