Shannon Smith Presentation
Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site will host a presentation and book signing by author Shannon Smith, author of Give Me Eighty Men: Women and the Myth of the Fetterman Fight.
The event will take place 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, in the Interpretive Center at Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site.
Smith studied American history at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has written extensively on Western history, American Indian history, and Western women’s history. Her book on the Fetterman Fight won the Wyoming State Historical Society non-fiction book award for 2009.
