Bighorn Mountain Fun Ride/Hike
Join the Cloud Peak Back Country Horsemen (BCH) for their second annual Bighorn Mountain Fun Ride/Hike on Saturday, July 11, beginning at Elgin Park Trailhead.
Participants are invited to ride or hike, take part in a scavenger hunt, and possibly win outdoor prizes for youths and adults.
The event is free to participate.
Dogs are not allowed on organized rides.
Sign-in will begin at 9 a.m. and the ride and hike will begin around 9:30 a.m. A barbecue lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Prizes and raffles will take place at 2:30 p.m.
The horse will be 6 to 9 miles, and the hikes will be 2 to 4 miles for any experience and all ages. Or folks can stay be the trailhead and play yard games. Trails will be marked and easy to follow.
Bring your horse or a good pair of shoe for hiking. Bring food or drink for the ride and a good camera.
